Apologies for not posting recently. I have been preparing for presentations on Safut, one for the Horn Lectureship Series at Andrews University generally on Safut that is an hour long, and then a shorter more scientific one at the ASOR annual meetings on the stratigraphy of the site. These have been taking up the majority of my time; making site maps, drawing pottery, searching high and low through the material for pictures, and generally trying to understand the periods represented at the site. I’ve also had midterms and papers to grade, classes to prepare, and most importantly a baby to get ready for.
I will hopefully be posting on my first experience presenting at a scholarly meeting and writing on some of the interesting tidbits/revelations that always come out of the annual meetings.
