The site of Kh. Qeiyafa was a fortress in the 10th century BCE and is located between Azekah and Socoh in the Elah Valley. A very impressive site which has now offered up a potentially monumentally important inscription. You can clearly see that the Amman-Jerash highway cuts through the northwestern edge of tell. The Wadi Suweileh passes on the east side of the tell and joins with the Wadi Safut as it runs down into the Buqe’ah Valley.
